Pietralcina
Pietralcina is the village where Padre Pio (Francesco Forgione, 1887–1968) was born and spent his early years. The Casa Natale (birthplace), the church of Sant'Anna where he was baptised, and the nearby Elm Tree under which he prayed as a boy are the main pilgrimage sites. Many also combine this visit with the Padre Pio Pilgrimage Church at nearby San Giovanni Rotondo (60 km further). Available in both directions. All tolls included.
